Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be at 1:00pm Saturday May 19, 2018 at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL. Burial will be in Hardinville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00am – 1:00pm Saturday May 19, 2018 at Pulliam Funeral Home Oblong, IL.

Barbara Lee Tuel, 81, of Flora, IL formerly of Oblong, IL passed away on Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

She was born in Festus, MO on May 18, 1936 to Leroy Huskey and Virgie Maire (McDonald) Huskey. On November 24, 1955 she married Kermit Tuel who survives.

Barbara had attended Prior Grove Church in Hardinville, IL and had also attended Hardinville Grade School.  She had worked at Ettelbrick Shoe Company in Robinson, IL; TRW in Oblong, IL and as a CNA at several area nursing homes.  She enjoyed collecting bird plates, taking care of “Buddy” her Canary and reading her Amish Books. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law Ron and Pam Tuel, Oblong, IL, Donnie Tuel, Crawfordsville, IN, Rodney and Kelly Tuel, Oblong, IL; two daughters and son-in-law Tanya Tuel, Flora, IL, Tammie and Ron McKinney, Flora, IL.  She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren Kris Tuel, Brittany Tuel, Ashlei and Chance Wall, Amanda Melton, Aaron and Loriann Tuel, Justin and Rachelle Tuel, Stephanie and Brad Legg, Derek and Athena Tuel, Jessica ( who was raised by Barbara) and Kevin Curtis, Heather and Blaine Headlee, Melissa and Brandon Hostettler, Nick and Kali McKinney, Ethan and Cassy McKinney; twenty-eight great grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law Jim and Diane Lemmon, Hardinville, IL along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother Leroy Huskey, one sister Shirley Mendenhall and one grandson Jonathan Tracy.
